Lucille Chalfant

A search for Lucille Chalfant turned up the sad news that she committed suicide in Berlin in 1932. I also found:

She had the leading role in Greenwich Village Follies in 1922; a recording of her from that year exists.
She was married and divorced twice by 1926. In that year, she got permission from a Supreme Court justice to use "Lucille Chalfant" as her official name as well as her stage name and to change the surname of her children accordingly.

Wikimedia has the American Consular Service's report of her death. This indicated that she was 40 years old when she passed away.
