John Coolidge

Toronto Daily Star, 11 August 1923

John Coolidge (1906-2000) was 16 at the time this photograph was taken. His brother, Calvin Jr., who was a year and a half younger, had less than a year to live: in July 1924, he died of blood poisoning brought on by an infected blister.

John would live for more than three-quarters of a century after this photo was taken: he became a businessman and entrepreneur.

Created April 8, 2025.
