Lorne Dennie

A Google search on Lorne Dennie turned up nothing and there is nothing of his on YouTube. Since CKCL was a local radio station, I looked him up in the Toronto city directories.
The 1929 Toronto city directory lists a Lorne N. Dennie as a bookkeeper at J. E. Dennie Limited, a manufacturer of paper bags, and living at 38 Alhambra Avenue; the 1930 directory doesn't list him but the 1931 directory has him back at the same address. It's possible that he went off in 1930 in search of fame and fortune as a whispering vocalist before giving up and returning to the family business; it's more likely that the directory just left him out by accident that year.
He was in the 1936 directory at the same address and still with his family firm; I didn't trace him after that.
