This is one of a number of photographs from the 1930s of young women or children that included their name and address. Nowadays, I think they call it "doxxing" (though the Star would not have had malicious intent when publishing the information). The modern trend towards privacy is so strong that I feel oddly guilty about republishing this.
I found both Georgina Hayes and her father, Joseph Hayes, in the 1930 Toronto city directory: Georgina worked as a stenographer, and Joseph was "with" J G Millar Co. Moving forward:
738 Shaw Street still stands - it seems like a nice enough place.
