Leila Hyams

Leila Hyams (1905-1977) appeared in movies from 1924 to 1936. She was blonde with blue eyes and therefore was often cast in ingenue roles. Her mother, born Leila McIntyre, was a vaudeville performer who had a movie career of her own from 1929 to 1946.

Ms. Hyams married her talent agent, Phil Berg, in 1927. The marriage lasted half a century and ended only with her passing.
