Dorothy Klupping

The "World of Early Amateur & Youth Sports in Chicago" website has a detailed entry on Dorothy "Boots" Klupping (1918-1993). She went on to play in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1944. Later, she became a teacher and a dog breeder.
Ms. Klupping married Fred Ortman, who competed in swimming and track, in 1941. Sadly, she was widowed in 1964 and lost her son in an automobile accident in 1968. She never remarried.
