Mr. and Mrs. Warwick Legge

Toronto Daily Star, October 3 1932

Mr. Legge's name was unique enough that he was easy to trace in the Toronto city directories. He appears in the 1933 directory as a clerk at Drug Trading and living at 345 Davisville Avenue. In 1938, he was a clerk at Druggists Corporation at the same address.

By 1941, he was a superintendent at Druggists Corporation and was listed at 8 Rolland Road in Leaside. In 1944, he was listed as a production manager. The last year for which I could find a listing for him was 1950; the 1951 and 1952 directories do not list him. The directories do not have an entry for his widow, and 8 Rolland Road is listed as belonging to someone else, so I assume that the Legges moved out of town.

I was able to confirm this when I found an entry for Legge in the Ancestry web site. Sadly, I suspect that I know why they left town: his wife passed away in 1952 at the age of only 46. He passed away in 1968.
