Johnny Loaring

John Loaring (1915-1969) won a silver medal in the 400-metre hurdles in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. He won three gold medals at the 1938 British Empire Games in Sydney, Australia, winning the 440-yard hurdles and as part of the 4x110 yard and 4x440 yard relay teams. He died at a comparatively young age of cancer.
