Larry O'Connor (1916-1995) finished sixth in the 110-metre hurdles in the 1936 Olympic Summer Games. He finished second in this event in the 1938 Commonwealth Games and set a Canadian record in the 110-metre hurdles in 1939 that stood until 1964.
A Canadian Olympic website has a biography of him, from which I was able to learn more about his life. 1941 was a busy year for him: he graduated from Osgoode Law School, was hired by a law firm in Chatham, Ontario, got married, and joined the army. After the war, he returned to practicing law in Chatham, and that is where he lived the rest of his life. He was inducted into the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Hall of Fame in 1990.
