Peggy O'Neil

Margaret "Peggy" O'Neil (1898-1960) was a stage actress who performed on Broadway, and in London in a show titled Paddy The Next Best Thing that ran for 850 performances. She was apparently the first person ever to be interviewed on television. Pathé Films has footage of her from 1925.

Ms. O'Neil was also the inspiration for a song whose sheet music was for sale in the ad shown above. Naturally, there are a number of versions of "Peggy O'Neil" on YouTube:
