I couldn't find any reference to Harold F. New in the 1933 Toronto city directory, so it appears that the divorcing couple lived out of town. I'm not sure why this divorce merited space in a Toronto newspaper, but I guess anything that filled column space would do.
I suppose it served him right for committing misconduct with Virginia Groams.
