Rosita Royce

Toronto Daily Star, July 21 1936

Rosita Royce (1913 or 1918-1954), born Marjorie Rose Corrington, was a burlesque dancer. Her specialty was a routine in which her trained birds gradually removed parts of her costume.

A search turned up references to her on the Travalanche website, the 1939 New York World's Fair website, and the Internet Movie Database. Ms. Royce appeared in the 1953 movie Striporama; the Internet Archive has a film clip of her routine from the movie. It doesn't show her removing everything but it's probably NSFW.
