Amanda Storrs
Toronto Daily Star, November 3 1930

Google searches didn't turn up too much, but I did discover:
- Frank V. Storrs (1863-1939) founded a firm that produced theatre programs. He also built movie houses and was in the banking business. His surname was originally Strauss before he anglicized it. The New York Times printed his obituary when he passed away.
- His wife, Amanda Storrs, outlived him by fifteen years. I found a photo of the two of them, taken in 1931; they were wintering in Palm Beach and look like they didn't enjoy being photographed.
- Mrs. Daniel Sickles was born Carolyn Storrs in 1908. She later remarried. The website on which I found her didn't list her death date.
- Anne Storrs, born in 1910, later married Carl Schuster. She passed away in 1986.
The "exclusive Diamond Horseshoe" was the collection of luxury box seats at the Metropolitan Opera House. It got its name apparently because of the reflection of the female attendees' jewelry in the lights. After an 1892 fire, only 35 opera boxes were available on the Diamond Horseshoe, which presumably was the "exclusive" part.
I found a 1937 photo of the Diamond Horseshoe and an article about a woman who spent many years as a ladies' maid there.
