Delmar Watson

Toronto Daily Star, July 6 1931

Delmar Watson (1926-2008) and all eight of his siblings worked in the movies. He and three of his brothers had roles in Mr. Smith Goes To Washington (1939), which was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and is now considered one of the greatest films of all time. The entire family eventually got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Watson appeared in his final film in 1941 (except for one uncredited role in 1947). As an adult, he had a career as a news photographer and edited and published five books, including the wonderfully titled Quick, Watson, The Camera.
