Brownsville Station were from Ann Arbor, Michigan (not Brownsville, which is in Texas). "Smokin' In The Boys Room" reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over two million copies. It was covered by Mötley Crüe (unnecessary umlauts and all) in 1985.
Brownsville Station made it to the lower reaches of the Hot 100 a few more times before disbanding in 1979. They reformed in 2012 with two members from their glory days and released an album called Still Smokin'.
