Carl Smith - Ten Thousand Drums

August 1959 - Weeks On Chart: 7 - Highest Position: 19

This song features military-style snare drumming, a banjo, and lyrics about Yankees defeating Redcoats. I'm not sure I liked it all that much, but that might be because I am Canadian and therefore kind of on the side of the Redcoats.
