Crow - Evil Woman Don't Play Your Games With Me

January 1970 - Weeks On Chart: 5 - Highest Position: 16

This features shouty vocals, horns, and an organ. It's not terrible but I found my mind wandering when I listened to it and I didn't bother finishing it.

Crow were from Minneapolis-St.Paul. "Evil Woman", etc., reached #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was later covered by Black Sabbath. Future singles reached #56, #103, and #55, which is better than nothing, I suppose.

Crow split up in 1972, with lead singer David Wagner briefly attempting a solo career. In 2005, they were inducted into the Minnesota Rock/Country Hall of Fame; four years later, they were honoured by the Iowa Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame. That's two states more than most groups.

Created March 12, 2026.
