This song has some finger snapping and lots of saxophone goodness. 1958 was a long time ago.
The Kendall Sisters don't have a large internet footprint. Of what's there, I'm not sure how much is accurate. I'm reasonably certain that they were Paulina "Polly" Kendall and Dolores "Dolly" Kendall and that they were from Cleveland.
The Discogs website lists them as members of Ernie Benedict And His Polkateers and Ernie Benedict And The Range Riders, who released singles in the late 1940s. Another site claims that they began their career in the 1930s. Both sites claim that the sisters were inducted into a Polka Hall of Fame. That's about all that I know.
"Yea, Yea" only reached #73 on the Billboard Hot 100, so it was more popular in Toronto than in most places. Polly Kendall reportedly passed away in 2005.
