This song complains about other songs in which somebody tragically dies (such as this one). I see his point - songs whose theme is death are downers - but I didn't feel a need to finish listening to this.
Bob Luman (1937-1978) was born in Blackjack, Texas, which probably made it inevitable that he would become a country singer. "Let's Think About Living" was his fifth single release and was the only one that made a significant dent in the pop charts, reaching #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Luman reached the country chart a total of 38 times between 1963 and 1978, including six songs in the top 20. He died young of lung cancer.
