The Nu Tornados were five high school boys from Philadelphia. Their song extols the virtues of their hometown and features a rather annoying glockenspiel and a banjo solo. I wasn't able to get through the whole thing.
The group released a couple of other singles at about the same time but then disappeared without a trace. The Discogs website provides a brief biography of them.
