This is a mixture of garage rock and early psychedelic rock, which makes it exactly a product of its time. I lost interest in it after a bit.
Strictly speaking, The Quiet Jungle aren't one-hit wonders: as Douglas Rankine and the Secrets, they recorded a novelty song about Eddie Shack that made it to #1 in Toronto. When not trying to become successful under their new name, they had side gigs anonymously recording an album of Monkees cover songs and producing an album titled The Story of Snoopy's Christmas.
The band released another single in 1967 but couldn't shake its novelty past. It fell apart in 1968.
