This song had been, um, out of my mind for over half a century before I heard it just now. On listening to it again, I did remember it but found it a bit irritating and saw no need to finish it. Maybe I'll check back in on it again in 2076 in the unlikely event that I am still around then (I would turn 116 that year).
Rain were from Kitchener, Ontario, and formed in the late 1960s. "Out Of My Mind" reached the top 10 nationally in Canada and became popular in the mid-1970s in the UK as part of the Northern Soul movement.
The band split up shortly after that. The singer on "Out Of My Mind", Phyllis Brown, had a number of top-ten hits in Canada in the mid-1970s as Charity Brown. The rest of the band went on to various creative projects in Canada.
