I remember this song from when it first came out; I recall finding it irritating. I listened to part of it again just now and I still find it irritating - it's basically electric piano and babbling. Some things don't change in over half a century, I guess.
"Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)", henceforth referenced as "Life Is A Rock" for brevity, was recorded by a collection of studio musicians. Its lyrics were written by Norman Dolph, who was also known for recording and remixing the Velvet Underground & Nico album. The lead singer, or reciter I guess, was Joey Levine, who co-wrote and sang The Ohio Express's "Yummy Yummy Yummy". This version of "Life Is A Rock" reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
There appear to have been no other songs released under the Reunion name. Tracey Ullman covered "Life Is A Rock" in 1983; her version appears to be a faithful cover but in a more high-pitched voice. Sadly, I barely made it through a few seconds of it.
When I looked at the lyrics of "Life Is A Rock", I discovered that it starts off with a reference to B. Bumble & The Stingers (referring to them as "B. B. Bumble & The Stingers" to get the line to scan properly). That's obscure enough to be cool.
