Roadhouse - Good Times (And Lovin' You)

November 1972 - Weeks On Chart: 8 - Highest Position: 15

This is a radio-friendly song that I can imagine listening to on a radio station in cottage country or in line for burgers at Weber's. But I haven't heard it in years, possibly because the random sighing during the between-verse breaks is a bit cringey.

Roadhouse did not leave a large internet footprint behind them. All I could find out was that they were from Vancouver and they were fronted by Ralph Murphy, who wrote all of their songs.

"Good Times (And Lovin' You)" reached #60 on the Billboard Hot 100 but that's as good as it got for Roadhouse. They released an album in 1973 (dig that album cover!) and then went their separate ways. Murphy went on to have an extensive career as a songwriter and producer, eventually relocating to Nashville. The Museum of Canadian Music website has a biography of him.
