This is basically easy listening smooth jazz. It's not really my thing but lots of people like it and it's not as though they are wrong.
Sounds Orchestral were studio musicians from Britain. "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over one million copies. The group regularly produced albums until 1977, the last of which was released on K-Tel Records (Sounds Orchestral Perform 20 Great TV Themes).
"Cast Your Fate to the Wind" was originally written by Vince Guaraldi, an American jazz pianist. His version of the song reached #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 but didn't get airplay in Toronto. Guaraldi went on to compose the music for all of the Peanuts television specials, including A Charlie Brown Christmas, before passing away in 1976.
