Love Unlimited were Barry White's backup singers in the late 1960s and early 1970s; their lineup included Glodean James, who later became White's wife.
"Walking In The Rain With The One I Love" was written by White and sounds like it was recorded by a female version of him (which I guess is both good and bad). It reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over a million copies.
Love Unlimited reached #1 on the Soul singles chart in 1975 with "I Belong To You" but never again reached anywhere significant in the pop charts. They split up in 1981.
Love Unlimited are not to be confused with The Love Unlimited Orchestra, who were White's backup band and who also have an entry on this website.
